How to Calculate Fuel Cost

Divide the trip distance by your car’s MPG to get gallons needed, then multiply by the gas price. For a 350-mile trip at 28 MPG with gas at $3.50, you need 12.5 gallons at a cost of $43.75. This calculator does it instantly.
