SGPA to CGPA Calculator

Convert your semester GPAs (SGPA) into your cumulative CGPA the way universities in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh actually compute it. Enter the SGPA for each semester — and add credit hours for a properly credit-weighted CGPA, which is what appears on your transcript. If you skip credits, the calculator falls back to the simple average many universities also accept.

SGPA vs CGPA

SGPA measures one semester; CGPA is the running average across all semesters. The accurate method weights each semester by its credit hours: CGPA = Σ(SGPA × semester credits) ÷ Σ(credits). When all semesters carry equal credits, this equals the simple average of your SGPAs — which is why both methods are common.

Frequently asked questions

My university shows a different CGPA — why? Most transcript CGPAs are computed per-course, not per-semester. Course-level rounding in each SGPA can shift the result by a few hundredths.
